TTMAG Launch 7 years ago

Despite the acronym, it’s not a new local magazine. Aura-Tech (ATSL) had the privilege of being a part of the launch of the  Trinidad and Tobago Multistakeholder Advisory Group (TTMAG) yesterday. Time will judge its effectiveness, but from the onset this is a great stride for the Information Technology space locally.

TTMAG bills itself as an independent body of professionals that promotes best practice policies regarding the local Internet ecosystem. It’s members include representatives from Government, Academia, the Technical Community and various Businesses. You can read more on TTMAG’s work and policies on their website http://mag.tt/.

At the launch, UWI Campus Principal Prof. Brian Copeland emphasized the institution’s push for creating avenues to foster innovative projects that would touch on all the faculties of the university. We also had a chance to speak with Prof. Patrick Hosein, the CEO of Trinidad and Tobago Network Information Centre. Professor Hosein is constantly encouraging locals to get involved in Research and Development. You can read more about his work on his website http://lab.tt/.

Aura-Tech continues to seek opportunities for partnership and dialogue as we march toward our vision of T&T becoming a regional technology hub.
